Great book, interesting details about his childhood and the victims, but too short in my opinion. 90 pages I suppose?? Worth a buy but not if you want a deep, immersive read. Best for reading on a train or a bus, when you have a little time to yourself.Product details

He was a sneaky one. Stuff nightmares are made of! Great writing and great details. I will read more of Jack Smith's books.
Carl Eugene Watts at age 15 attacked a customer on his paper route. We don't know if this was his first. He didn't rob or rape his victims-- he killed them, or attempted to.
The number of his victims is unknown, and law enforcement couldn't put together enough evidence to arrest him, so he just kept on killing.
Story about a little known serical killer that roamed Houston.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book on this particular case. Hadn't heard of it until now. So sad that it took so long to capture him. Well written. Will read more of your books.
The person called Carl Eugene Watts was a violent offender, an animal that was allowed to walk the streets to attack and murder innocent females. His crimes got him off scot free, due to shoddy police work. At least it was put to an end, through the Texas justice system. He has since died, giving the public a collective sigh of relief. Jack Smith is one author who gives us what we ask for in the true crime genre
It's been a while since I read this book, so I can't remember everything I read, BUT, I do remember breezing right through it within a two day period. Maybe less than that. It was informative and well written with pictures. Very sad story for the victims friends and family. Very stressful for the police or anyone else involved, to track him down and bring him to justice.
This book was on sale when I bought it for .99¢, and was worth every penny. I think it's worth even more than that, so I suggest you buy it.
